You may not have heard of him before his death but, in life, he was one of those extremists who actively encouraged trolling of people of whom he disapproved, especially successful black women. He claims to be Christian but there is nothing Christian in his attitudes to anyone who is not white and male. His "debating" style was certainly original but not at all open or courteous. He was a manipulator who took advantage of people with less analytical thought processes.

Please note also that a fair number of Democrats have been shot recently, including a Congresswoman, her husband and her dog, but there has been no Trump rallying call to find the perpetrators, bring them to trial and seek justice.

 

"South Park" did a parody of him in a recent episode, although it didn't click with me at all then, and the streamers have removed it now. But basically, Cartman was very upset that someone else had stolen his "schtick".

The latest episode about the Labubu craze concealing a dark satanic threat was great though, and I did know what a Labubu was. Sometimes it's good to know those things, because it makes you grateful you're not the type of person to be sucked in.

I noticed someone got shot a while back for being in charge of a health care insurance.

I assume the police are looking for them regardless of what Trump might be saying.

 

Melissa Hortman. People are saying she was actually killed by another Democrat, but that's social media, who knows? Anyway it did not go unremarked.

 

That was part of the storyline - "are you sure it's a real Labubu and not a Lafufu" etc. But the real ones were the dangerous ones!
And the price of them kept going up because of "Tariffs".
And they were now being sold by City Wok, which was no longer a Chinese restaurant because "Wok is dead".

I think it's particularly cynical that they are sold "blind" - i.e. you get a sealed box with no idea which one is inside, so if you want a particular "rare" one you have to keep buying. A bit like the football stickers sold to children.

 

That's what politicians do. It is what religious leaders do. It is what any speaker seeking to sway the masses does. Old as time.

 

I am obviously well behind the times..........what on earth is a Labubu ?? A toy, a cooking utensil, a cross between a Labrador and something else or some Alien creature ?

 

None of the above! It's an accessory - a little "charm" in the form of an ugly (but supposedly cute) monster that you can attach to your bag, or wherever else you want to proclaim to people that you're in the grip of the latest stupid craze!

Starmer spectacularly missing the point again! 150,000 people turn out to protest and he says the flag will not be surrendered to those pedalling violence. How many arrests for violent behaviour were there? A few. So, roughly 149,900+ demonstrated peacefully. What has he got to say about that?

I've just watched a clip of video of a large crowd watching a screen on which a black gospel choir was singing "Jerusalem". Most people were wrapped in Union flags, some in St George's, a few Scots flags there too. People of all colours wearing the flags.
(Sadly the singer got the words to Jerusalem wrong. Maybe she was just nervous - can't blame her!).

You're never going to have a large demo without a bit of bother breaking out here and there. But there was more violence at the Notting Hill Carnival.

 

Keep an eye out for 21 October - lobbying of MPs at Westminster re the farming practices of Chickens and Pigs here in the UK - a country supposedly concerned about animal welfare.
