I think I sent you some seed from mine! I don't think I've got any this year - the plant got pummeled by neighbours cats having a fight.

Here is a Monarch feeding on Asclepias taken last year in Tenerife, common there and Madeira.
they absorb the toxins making them poisonous to birds. If any were to be seen here they would be from private releases.

They do get blown off course and end up in uk
The Monarch is the largest butterfly seen in the British Isles and is also one of our rarest migrants. Known for its ability to travel

This may not be classed as Exotic, but I'm never sure of the true meaning.
I've struggled this year with this plant, bought two packets of seed and ended up with just one plant, germination was rubbish, old seed would be my guess.
Lobelia tupa, finally flowering but hoping for it to be better next year.

Its been outside for most of the summer but brought it in in the hope of getting the flowers to open properly.

My Stapelias are flowering well - not exactly the best "house" plant tho as they exude that rotting meat smell to attract their pllinators. Beautiful flowers tho.

I found this in a tray under a bench at the GC in Poundbury (Dorchester) and I hadn't seen one for years. Hibiscus cooperi variegata, it was in a 'thumb' pot and only £4 so I couldn't leave it there!! It may not like the conservatory in winter but the kitchen window may be warm enough.

From dry tubercles I do very badly. But I have had this a couple of years, so I hope it will continue!

@CarolineL I used to have a collection of Achimenes and used to keep the tubercles from year to year, without any issues. Even had enough, some years, to put in hanging baskets or use as bedding. Then I switched to peat free compost and that was the end of that, just cannot grow them at the moment.

I often walk past this Passiflora, it's happily growing through a chain link fence and some conifers.

I didn't know they are hardy up here, but this year it's not just alive, but actually ripening fruit :)

A few of the Achimenes varieties that I have but must admit I didn't even repot them this year.

May I show THE monstera from Madeira, in the park? It had flowers and fruits.
I was so impressed, and so happy, I even had a chance to eat monstera's fruit. (Not from the park, bought one :)) .
