Usually they just ask how many years no claims you have.
Might ask what year you passed your test but I think if its more than a few years its irrelevant.

The date you passed is on your driving licence, isn't it?

Mine does but only on the back where it states what vehicles you can drive.

Well ..... me & Mrs LS went down for our private Covid jabs this afternoon which we'd booked a month ago. We paid £89 each, filled in forms and then we were called in to different nurses. My nurse says "take a seat and I'll just go and get the vaccine, won't be a minute". She eventually comes back and tells me she's really sorry but they've only got one left so it's either me or the OH who gets it! I let Mrs LS have it cos' she wanted to have hers at the same time as her flu, which she was also having today.

I made a real effort not to get annoyed with anyone at the Pharmacy but it's fair to say I'm not best pleased. Why could they not manage their supply to the demand? I only gave them a month's notice. Why couldn't they let us know there was a problem before we got there? I'm betting they've used up most of their stock on those numpties turning up for a free one they're not entitled to and then having to purchase one at the last minute.

That's annoying, @LunarSea. Have they booked you in for another appt for when they get the next batch?

Maybe it depends when you passed your test, @shiney. If an insurance company can see the data held by the DVLA, which I assume they can, they shouldn't need to ask customers.

@ViewAhead I agree. Therefore why should anyone have the date they passed their test on their licence? I don't see why @pete would have it unless he looks too young to have passed at that date so it would save the police having to query it. :roflol: He looked like a youngster last time I saw him.

It's on the back of mine because of something to do with what classes of vehicles you can drive.
It doesn't actually state its that date I passed my test but I know it is.

Column 10 on the back shows when it's valid from. Mine says 23 Sept 1977. I would have passed my test that year, but a month earlier perhaps. I was back at Uni then. Perhaps it's the date the full licence is produced.

They just said they'd keep my form to one side & phone me on Monday. I'm hoping I don't need a proper appointment as it only takes a minute to do, plus I've already paid.

Column 10 on mine only has two different year dates - four with one date and two with the other. One says 74 but I certainly passed my test well before that and the other is 13 so maybe it is saying I passed my test in 1913 :old: :heehee:

It doesn't state 'Date Test Passed' but look for the earliest date in the left hand column (headed 10 on my licence). That should be the date you passed your test.

I was watching the news this morning and there was a section about the potential release of hostages tomorrow. There was a shot from above the square, most of which seemed to be covered by a massive 'flag' proclaiming 'Trump for Nobel Prize'. I'm sure lots of Israeli grannies had sat up all night knitting it!

On the back of my license in column 10 it states 9/11/83, that is when I was allowed to drive. I know it was November and that it was a Wednesday when I took my test. I went down to my mum's stall on the market and wound her up that I had failed, the 9/11/83 is a Wednesday. The only other date can be the 2/11/83

Hubby has looked at his licence and his test pass date is 3 years earlier than the column 10 first date! On mine I can drive lorries with trailing lorries too! It used to be just cars when I had a paper licence.

Moving onto shingles jabs, why have they left some of us out? They have some weird criteria for age eligibility. The NHS has just sent another email "clarifying" the age criteria.
