Rather a coincidence that Trump’s sons are busy with all sorts of deals in the Middle East, some of which were about to be jeopardised by the ongoing conflict. Dad finally steps in to encourage a ceasefire, which he immediately announces is peace, and wants a Nobel prize despite being at least 9 months past this years closing date.
That is a horrific article, @Tidemark, but sadly true. I’ve ticked your post as funny, but not in an amusing way, more a ‘can this be true’? Women are just not respected by this type of man. If anyone has a strong stomach, watch Trump greeting the Italian prime minister, very inappropriately hanging onto her hand. And then making sexist comments about her in the press conference. Is he an insult to civilised society or what?

The thing is I got the impression that you were suggesting he was turning the USA into Nazi Germany.
Surely he is only hated a despised by some of the electorate, I cant understand where you are coming from, you are suggesting none of the population like him, so how did he get voted in.
I've heard so much about the black and brown people, I thought the correct term was people of colour, not sure what colour I am, I've said before I'm not white and I consider being called white an insult.
Where does that leave us, I'm not racist but I am anti invasion from other countries that have not been invited, whatever colour their skin.

I seem to remember this problem with the government employees has happened before, cant remember when, but isn't it more about the whole lot of politicians cant sort out the budget?

So Starmer and his bunch cut the winter fuel payment last year to pensioners, it raised nothing in the grand scheme of things and achieved nothing.
All politicians do stupid things they are all looking after No1 , just look at what went on here during covid.

Look at Tony Blair, how rich is that geezer, after all he did before getting out while the going was good, and left Gordon Brown holding the baby.
They are all on the make, nothing new about Trump apart from he shoots from the hip and often gets it wrong, but he gets reigned in most of the time.

Yes @pete Trump and his gang are using Nazi tactics to demonise immigrants, especially ethinic south and central Americans - hence brown, not black - and to round them up and imprison them in dreadful conditions. When asked about Habeus Corpus Trump didn't know what it is.



People let it happen in Germany and they've sleep walked into it in the USA by believing all his cr*p and thinking their problems are someone else's fault.

Republicans are also seeking total control of women's bodies by banning abortions, even for under age rape victims, and the current defence secretary, known to be an acloholic who has never served in the forces, has advocated physical abuse of women in the armed forces because they are weaker in mind and body.

The Health secretary, RFK junior, has cancelled childhood vaccines and babies and children are now dying of measles. He thinks autism is caused by paracetamol tho it was first described in 1911, 40+ years before paracetamol was developed. This is a former heroin addict who dealt drugs in college and took so many steroids he's damaged his voice.

I could go on but maybe you should be thankful that Starmer is ineffective if that's what "strong" government gets you.

I've just read an article about security being needed at the Peterborough Conker competition. Apparently the cheaters included someone carrying a steel conker. Although he still had it in his pocket and not into play yet. Whaaaattt? would that amount to a concealed weapon..
