I've been using the "long life" semi skimmed milk sold in cartons for many years. Once the carton is open, it goes in the fridge. Never had any problems so far.

I never have a problem with ARLA BOB milk, which it says will keep ok for 7 days once opened. And it's kept at 4c in the fridge. We have fully skimmed, which tastes like semi skimmed - true.

I was having big problems when I was using a milkman, it was always going off, I complained but they ignored me so I went back to getting it from the supermarket.

I find if it does go off its usually about the bottom inch that is left from a four pinta overnight.

I dont store it on the door of the fridge anymore, I keep it on a shelf.

I've bought the odd bottle from the local convenience store and that usually goes off as well, I think its not stored cold enough in their case.

Apparently nobody told her she had to, so it's somebody else's fault. This is the woman in charge of the country's finances!

We stopped using a milkman when deliveries didn't arrive until after we had gone to work. Our previous milkies always had milk delivered by about 6am.

I dont think "long life" is actually milk, it's some kind of chemical whitewash, which is why it never goes off.

Whitewash is very popular these days - doesn't just come in a carton either. I believe it is used in Westminster on a daily basis.

Just bought a new pair of fairly expensive slippers from the company I always use for slippers. They are different shades (leopard) and the right one's upper is slanted to the left making it uncomfortable to wear. Sigh, they'll have to go back.

That now appears not to be the case. Apparently they did tell her (her husband was dealing with it so told him) and said they would get the licence for her. Then the manager that was dealing with it left the agency and it didn't get done.

This has all been put in writing by the agency and they have apologised. Rachel Reeves has now shown the letters, and apology, to the Prime Minister and the media.

I wonder if she will be fined for not having a certificate no matter what her excuses are. After all if you pay your accountant to complete you VAT return and submit it and they fail to do so the VAT man comes after you NOT your accountant.

I bought my slippers from Pantoffeleck. Whenever I visited my dad, I had to wear one of the slippers with a sole of felt (Filz). I liked them so much, I bought myself two.

Sometimes, I wonder why news come up at a certain time. I remember, when this Rayner thing run, that the newspapers also mentioned Reeves, but this was kept low. I would assume that the newspapers have now more information. If it was just a failure of the agency, I think the Daily Mail had known this?

I have no idea but I would guess that if there is a fine then the managing agency might offer to pay it.

My opinion of most media is rather low and they try to be sensationalists or too politically (or financially, biased.

Politicians are just as bad in wasting their and our time on what I would call non-stories without having even tried to find out what the real truth may be. All parties are just as bad as each other in this and should stop all this backbiting and get on and do the job they are paid for. :old:

Given that it's now Mr Andrew Mountbatten Windsor what is the correct word for the process of removing his titles officially.
For example clergy are defrocked and in some cases defenestrated, incumbents disencumbered, students sent down or debagged, lawyers are disbarred, medics struck off, rulers are deposed and the rest of us are dismissed, but a Prince?
Unless the King still has access to some Grace and Favour accomodation at the Tower of London I would suggest that good old fashion Outlawry would be the way to go; 24/48 hrs to leave the country with what you can carry, all possessions, properties and titles forfeited, after which "every mans hand shall be against you within the kingdom and any who aid you do so on pain of outlawry themselves"
