I think the only type you can get is Gentleman's Relish, which is just anchovies, salt and butter, if memory serves. The tricky bit is knowing how long you can keep it refrigerated once opened, as the container lacks instructions (or did so last time I looked) on this rather crucial matter. You would not want to consume an "off" anchovy. :hate-shocked: Marmite is probably a safer bet.

Gentleman's relish is something I'd heard off but didn't know what it was, tbh it always sounded a bit suspicious. We have a semi local company that's similar, called Diaper poultry. I've heard of chicken in a basket but perhaps that's one step to far.

I like plain cooked Beetroot as a veg but I also use it in Raita ( half beetroot/half cucumber ) - good with a wholemeal cheese scone.

Eww. The Americans really wouldn't go for Diaper.

And Piccalilli. If you're not careful you can get it with no bits in at all. Just sludge. If I remember correctly my favourite is Branston brand. Only buy it about twice a year.

I only buy the sweet types of pickle in jars, I do like the ones with a bit of chilli, not sure what the difference is between chutney and pickle.

Got to be honest, to me Branston is just too acidic, not sure why it gets all the accolades.

It was only ever favourite for cleaning up old pennies when I was a kid.

I think chutneys are usually chunks of fruit or vegetable or mixture cooked in a mix of spices with salt and vinegar. Pickles are bigger chunks or whole veggies preserved in vinegar, with salt or sugar and maybe some whole spices for extra flavour in the pickling liquor.

Allegedly, a commentator on the draw said they hoped the draw would be finished before the first match kicked off in June next year.

It was a farce, nations got drawn out only to find that they couldn't go into that group that they had been drawn into, so they had to put that nation into another group. There had to be one nation from Europe in each group, but there could only be one nation in each group from all the other federations, with the exception of Europe. Panama ended up in the same group as England as they couldn't go into the group they were originally drawn in, which was group J as that had Argentina and they couldn't put them in group K because of Columbia, so ended up in group L with England.

We had to endure the president of FIFA doing selfies with Trump and Carney. We had to put up with music from the village people, with Trump dancing away to YMCA. Then to top it all off, Trump was awarded the FIFA peace prize, what ever that is, never heard of them before. FIFA has always promoted that politics should not come into football, whether it's politicians, governments, clubs, managers and players, so why this award.

I've not watched any of it, cant be bothered, not sure FIFA is a responsible organisation at the best of times.
Should add I only watch some football as its on most occasions pretty boring stuff, at least this sounded interesting.:roflol:

You hadn't heard of the FIFA Peace Prize because it didn't exist. Infantini (FIFA President) made it up in order to suck up even more, if that were possible, to Trump. Last year, when Trump first mentioned that he might move the cities the games are played in because some don't support him, Infantini said the decisions were for FIFA and couldn't be changed. This year he changed his tune saying that it was up to the President of the USA to make a final decision.

I don't either @shiney tho when I was a student, many moons ago in Salford and my boyfriend at the time supported both Manchester teams we'd go and see George Best and co one week and Colin Bell and Franny Lee the other.

These days there's too much money and not enough intelligence on the pitch and behind it all so I don't watch any but I do like to see fair play and FIFA is so very stupid and corrupt they make me very cross. A pox on all those who use it to exploit others, be they players or fans, and those who kowtow to felons like Trump. Move the games to Mexico and Canada!

To be honest if I had been Trump I would of thought of it as a Pi** take.
To me it seemed that way.
