Glad you enjoyed the Bakewell and caramel ones.

@longk, apple and cinnamon I could cope with. Some of the others on offer, eg Tiramisu-filled, would definitely be outside my comfort zone.

I tried the lemon and white chocolate hot cross buns and found it a nice change. I asked hubby if he liked his cherry bakewell one two days ago and he can't remember having had one. Men!

 

Well we tend to remember the very good and the very bad, so it must have been just so-so.

 

Trump's annual speech - repetitive doesn't cover it - just a fraction under 2 hours and mainly self congratulatory.

 

I did slightly better at 10 minutes but I gather some of his audience didn't even manage that . As I was listening on the radio - World Service - in the early hours, it was enough to send me to sleep. Useful for anyone who has trouble getting to sleep

 

Might not be two hours but just watching so called Prime Ministers question time.
Every question has not been answered and turned round into how wonderfully well he is doing.
Its what politicians do.

 

I just think it would be good if they were made to "own" everything they do, the Royal "we" is spreading the muck.

Trump blows his own trumpet all the time, I find it strange that people find it surprising.
His followers like that approach.

It's just air @Jiffy and will settle. If you were a politician it would be hot air and just blow over waiting fir the next draught.

@Philippa i've seen the claims in that speech after fact checking. Lies, more lies and damn lies - but we knew it would be. How US voters got stupid enough ever to have elected him in the first place is beyond me and how and why he has not only been re-elected and is still there after all the exposed lies, money-grabbing, grifting and bullying, not to mention the Epstein files is beyond comprehension.
