    ... when the local hero sports a bollard on his head. Sadly, this year there is no can of Fosters in the outstretched hand or ladies underwear around the torso. But the local lads will probably save that for the royal wedding.

    You mean he's not meant to look like that ?

    There are several carved stone sheep on the roundabout at Shepton Mallet.

    You can tell when its winter as they suddenly all get wooly hats & scarves.

    He has got rather a waaaayeee pose which lends itself to the headgear, don't you think? He's supposed to be beckoning towards the east. Unfortunately some cowboy Victorian builder set him up to point north. Sheesh.
