    Hi

I thought the first was rhododendron but I've never seen it flower. Could this just be that I'm pruning at the wrong time of year?

    The 2nd i haven't a clue.

    Is the 3rd Euonymus?

    thanks for your help
    Gavin.

          Hi Spruce

It was looking rather sad underneath an overgrown Choisya Ternata Sundance . I've now cut the Sundance back. Can I do anything to help rejuvenate the peony? It hasn't been touched in quite a while.

          regards
          Gavin.

          Hi Gavin

They are tough plants , and a bit of TLC you will have it flowering in a year or two
I would give a liquid feed with tomoto food once a week at this time of year.
If it is to stay in that spot nice load of horsemuck around the plant but leave a 6 inch gap away from the stems , this will help keep the soil moist during the summer plus the peony will thank you .

Question is it a sunny spot

          Hi Spruce

It is in the open but it faces East and the house and trees block much of the direct sun from that direction. I could move it to the back garden where there are sunny spaces. Do bees and butterflies like peonies? That's what the back garden is meant to be becoming - a retreat for B&B's.

          regards
          Gavin.
