Ok, so many of you are aware my son emigrated to America last Saturday.

A neighbour out there and my sons best man to be, has slipped a disc in his back, so can't drive at the moment. My son has been chauffering him about for the last three days in a CORVETTE no less! :love30:The man in question owns three of them. Greedy or what! :)

Thought you might like to take a look at the said Corvettes. Two of the three, my sons best man owns. The third one is white.

SPEC: Called Ghengis :) The one without the reg. plate.
        2002.......206......5.7 litre......V8
        Modified to 650 bhp.

Called Eamon :) The one with the reg. plate.
        1985......5.7 litre........V8
        Unmodified 240 bhp.

Think I could manage to put up with either of those! :heehee: They're stunning!

Thank you for that. Oh was sitting beside me on the sofa and said "I thought it was a gardening forum you were on" :) He's a mechanic and loves cars, he's well impressed as am I. We name our cars too. Ghengis is my fav though :)

Not the least bit jealous Sheal. We own: ONE red Corvette shark nose, one Willie, one 1957 cadilac convertable wing back, one 1969 Nova Hatch back race car with nitro /racing tires/ roll bars etc, and matching trailor to travel the thing places. One Ford dulie truck--pulls the trailor that holds the race car. One old Honda, one toyota, one Nisson. That is 3 garages to cover all except the truck and trailor and the two daily cars. In one of the garages is a fully equipt lift, to work on the cars. That is his toys.

Redstar, Corvette's are not an everyday car to the British. The chance of us seeing one here, let alone driving one as my son has done is very low indeed.

Plus, the only reason my son was trusted to drive one was because they are gear shifts not automatics and there are not many American's that drive them now, unlike the British. :)

He obviously managed it Jiffy.......I think the answer probably is with difficulty. :) Ironically both he and his wife are physiotherapists.

To be honest, I could care less about them. They are my husband's toys. And I've driven the Corvette we have and others (from old boyfriends). To me, I don't see what is so great about a Corvette. From the inside the view around you is impaired due to its form. You cannot drive it in the winter on snow. You have to be careful where you park it, don't want someone's door to crack the thing. Its not that comfortable.
