      Although it is a bit of extra work in terms of cooking and tidying up and decorating/take down the decorations, I don't mind because the children are so happy about it.

      Nevertheless I try and make it as little commercial as possible and more about the religious meaning ot it.

            I love it for my grandchildren..
            I love to make my special wreaths & bunches...
            I love it in church for ringing the bells & the carols & special services...
            I love to see my family & have a lovely time...
            I love decorating my tree with my grandchildren on Christmas Eve.....

            I hate all the shops blaring out Christmas songs over & over...
            I hate all the rubbish the shops try & get us to buy at extortionate prices.....
            I hate all the drunken people & office parties...
            i hate the way shops try to make you think you have to buy whatever they want to sell you......
            Most of all I hate the drunken drivers who think they are fine to drive as it is Christmas...!!!!!!!!!!!!!

            So a bit of a Humbug in a way I suppose as I try to keep it traditional & not commercial as far as I can.............................. :DOH: :heehee:

                Good morning all my friends,Oh dear,Oh dear,Oh dear,is it that time of the year already,I thought that I had detected a slight air of gloom and despondency in Tesco,s this morning,when a young lady ran into me with her buggy and then glared at me for being in her way:heehee:Then in my most cheerful and polite manner,smiled at the lady cashier,and said that everyday was a bonus,only to receive her reply"not if you here ,its not:cool:So I laughed and joked my way round the rest of the store just as a happy Owl would, the security guard had his eyes on me and when he approached and said please stop making everyone smile its not good practice :heehee:,So I am going to celebrate Christmas for lots of personal reasons,which include the past,the present and the future and because I,m here and enjoying every minute of every day,well most of them anyway:dbgrtmb::)

                  I knicked all the low cedar cones in the grounds of a local estate for wreath making. The next day I saw them out collecting stuff for their wreath making classes. They'll have to go back with a ladder if they want any cones.

                    It is quite allot of work gc, but I love that too, although one is always left in the NY wondering what it was all about..! Weeks of preparation & all over in a couple of days..!! :what: :D

                    The thought of christmas drains me.........because......I Have to have home made decorations,flower arrangments and everything else connected with christmas everywhere:heehee: Yipee i LOVE it:yess:.....but before all that it's the big 'Autumn' clean:rolleyespink: i can blame my mother for that....Kitchen cupboards have to be sorted to fit in all the kelt i buy at christmas....some gets eaten and some is 'just incase anyone wants it':rolleyespink:
                    I've already been threatened by Mr Lolimac that if i buy any sponge flan cases this year ( which usually get fed to the birds and chooks)he'll divorce me:what:

                        Love it, always have, and now I have young children of my own I'm starting to enjoy it even more, seeing the joy and amazement in the eyes of my 3 year old (now he's old enough to understand) will be all the presents I need this year :thumb:..................but a few other prezzies would be nice :D:D:D
