One of my Granddaughters (age 13 ), was on line last night on my computer doing a project for school homework. She was logged on to Wikipedia for some information appertaining to her subject.
I walked into the room and asked her"is everything ok"?,her reply was " pa pa could you help me with this project information i have"?. I asked her what her subject was,she replied>>
    "Pregnancy Testing Kits" :help:.
She had five subjects to choose from and she selected this one!!. I just sat down and we went through all the questions and retrieved all the answers from Wikipedia. I wasn't embarrassed
    just slightly taken aback :what:.

I was expecting questions on Arithmetic or Geography,Not Pregnancy Test kits..
I now know who invented P.T.Kits and what year etc etc etc. I just wonder what she will be asking me next:scratch:. ITS CHANGED DAYS:):).

        you are lucky

my 16 year old daughter decided she does not like the carpet in her bedroom ...

she ripped it out (to shreds) when both my wife and I were not at home

when we got home, my son asked if he could put carpet on his room walls for sound insulation

I told him to take a hike (that was his way of trying (in a polite way) to raise the alarm, as if I asked him where he was intending to get a carpet and how much he was going to pay, he would have said it was for free

next morning, my wife went to wake my daughter for college and saw the bare concrete floor and all hell broke loose (this happened on monday)

I'm in a rented home .... my wife is frantically phoning around daily trying to find a decent quote to replace and 'old' green carpet before the landlady visits again for an inspection ... carpet has to be green

I never said anything ... just told my daughter that if she did not like the carpet, it would have been cheaper to buy a loose rug, and when we move, she still has it ...

I have had worse in my life ....

It's my wife who is now ranting and raving (all the time)....since monday ... now it's my fault and I get blamed? ... (wife gets emmotional at times ... I just smile at situations like these) ... my wife will most prob laugh (takes her a year in cases like these and we will never hear the end of this) ... but I'm laughing (silently) now (incase my wife slaps me)

Very true, and its one of those things that really, really gets up my nose.

My son is not 3 yet, and already we're getting reports from his play group about his personal and social development. That sounds fine in principle, but I was mortified when I took time off work for an 'important review', and the lovely lady beamed at me and said 'and he's been using the computer and understands cause and effect, and basic shopping transactions...'. I didn't say anything, but was thinking, he's 2 year old, he should be playing with cars and train sets, running round like a loony, and coming home with plasters on his knees, not learning about the computer and shopping and things.

Its a good job his dad's a mentalist, otherwise the poor kid would completely miss his childhood altogether.
