A hen house with a run on the side :yay: :D :sunny:
It's just been delivered now so all I need now I think is some water and food dispensers and some straw and food?? The local pet shop is not too far so will ask the guy to give me everything they need then I just need to get the hens :D

      Nice one H,

Better off getting a 25kg sack of food, works out cheaper in the long run.

Get straw by the bale from a farm/farm shop, remembering that they'll want an extra one to perch on and shout for grub. Newspaper on the poo shelf is much easier to change than straw/shavings/etc.

We use something like these galley pots for hanging on the run wire and putting grit in (but our have wire clips and came from Crofts pet shop in Banbury and were only about 50p each and there's one shown in the pic in my post #22 below):

+ pasta penne, rice, tomatoes, pizza, raisins/sultanas, brassicas, but most of all they just love grapes.

Slugs, snails, lettuce, spinach, bread, worms, leatherjackets, grass, fat hen, chickweed, bindweed.....they are quite the little omnivores.

Hydrogen, I think they'll be fine travelling in the same box together, as long as it's a large, well ventilated box.
They tend to keep very still and quiet when 'in transit', I think they find it all rather un-nerving.

Watch out for Wilko's 75% off 'chicken mesh' fencing.
