Ooo, thats good then, I asked Willow what she wants to do when we sell the house, rent a shop or move to portugal, she replied Portugal without hesitation.

I said we'd not know anyone apart from Victoria out there but she said that would be the adventure.

What a brilliant idea! I can vouch for Vicky although we haven't met yet...She would point out all the nice and cheap cafes and local knowledge. Plus I am sure you could fish a lot.

I think it would work out well.:spinning:

Zigs IF you can get out of this place, language is the last thing you need to worry about
You especially can sustain yourself with the garden and a Portugese garden would be more productive

I am to retire in ten weeks, I am sorley tempted to rent long term IE life from Victoria, or try to buy over there

The only thing holding me back is my family, I would miss them too much
Though I am working on buying three homes and moving them with me

The problem their would be employment a Fireman and an accountant
it would be no good having a home and no income to support yourself for them !

Italy would be good for me as I and my family have a good knowledge of the language Me from working there and the family from twenty years of holidays

Not knowing anyone living in Italy to guide me would be my problem
I do not know of any ex pats living in Italy ? Where I know a few from Portugal and Spain but I do not fancy Spain, even the ex pats are Blackpool and Bingo which is not my scene
