Face Time...

I am hoping that some of you techie folks on here might be able to help Mr Kandy and myslef with this problem we have...

For Christmas I bought Mr Kandy an Ipod Touch that has the Face Time facility on it.My sister who lives down in Devon had an iPad2 bought her by her hubby for Christmas so that she can talk with Face Time to her daughter up here in the Midlands who also had an iPad2 bought for her for Christmas.

Now the problem that we have is this.Mr Kandy has registered with Apple to get an ID so that he can use Face Time and my sister has also done the same so that she can talk to her Daughter.Mr Kandy and my sister have swopped their Apple ID's so that they can contact each other and hopefully we can all talk to each other,us with the iPod Touch and my sister with her iPad.

When either my sister or Mr Kandy are on line,they both try to connect to each other with their gadgets and although there is a ringing noise{like a phone ringing}neither of them can hear the ringing sound at their end and after a short while a messge comes up to say it has failed,{or something like that}and it doesn't matter how many times they both try neither of them can get through to chat.:(

This afternoon we popped down to PC World where we bought the Ipod Touch from and spoke to a chap and he said he can't see any reason for it not to work and they couldn't suggest anything apart from Mr Kandy trying to go to an Apple shop {if there is such a thing}and ask them what the problem could be.

We are not even sure if it is the router that is at fault or something else so if anyone can unravel this mystery we would be very pleased as it is getting a bit annoying to have these gadgets that don't do what it says on the tiin.

Thanks for the link Watergarden.I will show it to Mr Kandy and we can either pop to our nearest store or he can perhaps give them a call unless of course it is a standard phone number where you ring up and no one answers the phone:D

 

I went to the Apple store today,



They had to "close" because the fire alarm went off.

(I want to get an Ipod, and they let you "test" anything Apple)
