    Pure Poetry

One of this year's new Hybrid Tea roses, with huge blooms. Then at their peak the old fashioned looking flowers show off their pale purple colouring and also show off their intense fragrance, with strong stems reaching 90cm (3ft) in height, it is good in the border and also good for cutting. :)

      Hiya WOO.

That's a rather splendid looking bloom. I'm sure my wife would just love to have a few of those in a vase :)

If I may, Woo, I'll jump in this excellent thread with news about 5 new roses for 2012, although sadly I have now pictures of them:

      David Austin is introducing:

"Jubilee" Having rounded, soft pink flowers that are borne on in clusters and has a fruity fragrance similar blackcurrant tea.

"Tranquillity" Clusters of large, rosette shaped blooms in pale creamy yellow, with a apple fragrance.

"The Lark Ascending" This rose has semi-double apricot flowers with golden yellow highlights and the scent is light with hints of tea and myrrh.

"Heathcliffe" Named for the character in classic novel "Wuthering Heights", it's cupped blooms are rich crimson red with a tea fragrance.

"Boscobel" Carrying the name of the house which is owned by English Heritage, it bears clusters of myrrh scented rich salmon pink flowers.

          BBC Gardens World Readers Offer

this is the one, if anyone's interested in buying one.

Order now and your floribunda ‘Queen Elizabeth’ rose will bloom this summer to celebrate the jubilee year. It is supplied bare-root for immediate planting. Height 1.5m.

Shame I don't have much luck with bare-root plants.

Hi Joolz, you're right they are not in the catalogue as David Austin will not be launching them until the Chelsea Flower Show. I got the information from a Press release in the Amateur Gardening Magazine.

                Woo
Where do I find the information on what rose type is what
I know google, but I do not know how to phrase the question

What is the difference between a Hybrid tea and a bush, or whatever the others are termed
I know the Standard (well not know I believe ) a standard is the one like a lolipop on a stick

I only really like climbers, and only single head blooms, and the one in the garden border that is not bushy but again single headed blooms

Armandii I hope the "HEATHCLIFFE" Is just wuthering heights and not a WITHERING ROSE)

                Regards Woo
