    :ThankYou:bought this last summer at a fayre n forgot what the lady said it was,its about 10inch high now, has spread 20inch and i get the feeling it its going to keep spreading :hate-shocked:

        I think thats what the Germans make "Maitranke" from, some sort of drink if I remember correctly?

          Proper Botanical name is Galium odoratum, can be a bit of a thug where suited, but the scent from the crushed plant is very nice, hence its other name. Lady's Breath.

            I'll second that, it spreads everywhere. Not sure I would have planted it if I'd known. Fairly easy to remove and control. Good if you've a vast damp forest floor to fill up. And I'm sure we all have one of those somewhere, don't we?

              I've got about six square metres of the stuff to clear! Any tips, or is it straightforward?

              It's easy enough to dig out the roots in clumps, it's not deep-rooted. Trouble is,you always miss a bit.......
