Love it, Folly - particularly the one on your gothic arch.

That's great Nick, you are getting into it! We have a little bit of bunting to hang out and I've got a red white blue scheme in my front containers, but only the white is in flower so far (I've got the timing competely wrong on that )

PS: You have your union flag the right way up on the garage so no worries about a flotilla of destroyers coming up Grand Union canal to help you in distress.

Got to put my bunting up, we're having all my sons friends and parents around Tuesday for a bit of a party. Hopefully the weather is dry so we can use the garden. I was about my sons age in 1977 and we went to a street party at my grand parent, all got dressed up and had a great time, we were looking at the cinefilm the other week and thought it would be good to try and emulate this for him and his friends.

Happy Jubilee weekend to you too Nick. The place looks nice and suitably festooned with flags. I live in a ground floor flat and apart from a couple of the neigbours who we do not see often I don't think anyone knows anyone well enough to have a party and there are no signs of any flags either. Me, I am too old and disabled to go climbing around putting up flags and I know my son is not much of a royalist so I shall just have to put up with watching the box for any Jubilee entertainment. But I do hope everyone else has a lovely time. :dancy::hapydancsmil::ccheers::lunapic 130165696578242 5::oopss:Plenty of dancing and drinking and falling down liquids all go to make a memorable weekend!:)

Well, lets hope the heavens open and it chucks down for them. Nowt worse than soggy fairy cake.

In fact, lets smite them properly. May it thunder upon their table, and may a flock of pigeons settle upon their picnic, and wasps invade their drinks.

Oooooo I wish! But the weathers good today. Apart from Monday the rest of the week here is going to be a total wash-out, think I'm being 'smited' for something, I wanted to 'do' T.T. properly this year and rain brings no racing.

We've just been to lunch at the Deli ( cafe latte and a sausage roll to die for) and bought 2 tickets for the Tuesday Abbey Green Street party here in Battle. The Morris dancers were out in force having a practise prance this morning . Do hope it stays fine DURING THE DAY it can TIP IT DOWN AT NIGHT for all I care.
                        Happy Jubbly everyone

Happy Jubilee weekend to you too Nick (and everyone else) [IMG]

Your house looks great  Not much bunting or anything round here, although friends who live nearby say there's loads where they live. Driving up our local high street this morning the only business which has a Union Jack flying is the local Indian takeaway.

I'm not a royalist as such, but I saw a programme on BBC1 last night called The Queen's Diamond Jubilee where Prince Charles was watching film taken when he was a boy. Some of it was private film which family members (including the Queen) had taken. His face when he was watching it was brilliant, you could see how emotional he was getting. It also showed what a happy childhood he had and how his dad was getting involved in playing with them. Really would recommend it as it gave a great insight into the family.

Your missus would love it Nick :WINK1:
