Is GC sponsored by Nurofen or something??

First poor Folly did his back in, and wound up in hospital, then Jack tried to follow suit with his back, and now its my turn!

I have done my back - rolling over in bed (how embarrassing is that?), and although nowhere near as bad as others, its still nagging the hell out of me, and gave me a rough night on Sunday night (three hours kip at a guess). Even more embarrassing, I can't bend down too far, so I had to get the wee one to pass me my shoes and help me to the car with my paperwork, like some decrepit old fart!

To cap it off the abscess that I had a few weeks ago has returned - if I got a total of two hours sleep last night, that would be my lot, and I think even that is optimistic; shattered is an understatement. :gaah:

Come on everyone knows gardening and bad backs go together.
Also, nettle stings, cuts, bites, getting jabbed in the eye with canes and injuries to your foot from use of spades and forks. :thud: It's a jungle out there.:th scifD36: :heehee:
      Hope yours improves soon.:)

I seem to have sprained my hip. I didn't even think that was possible. My hip joint on my left side is knacking and I have to hobble everywhere.

I did my back in a few months ago picking up our (Empty) wheelie bin that had blow over was in agony for days:redface: but I think it was probably just the straw that broke the camels back...

You have a wheelie bin made of straw, are a camel, and broke your back?

See! We are all falling apart!

I think I would have felt better if I had knocked myself silly digging the garden, or building something - but rolling over in bed seems like such a lame excuse.

Either way, I will be happy if I get some half decent sleep tonight.

Maybe it's got something to do with the average age of a "gardeners corner" member.

Have you started your mid life crisis yet? The bit where you suddenly realise you can now grow a full beard without thinking its an achievement, and where you realise that you're probably half way there?

And there was me thinking that a mid life crisis started when you went out and got a tattoo, a big motorbike and started flirting with young women half your age.:heehee:

I think I started it a few years ago when I went out and treated myself to a Jaguar; I got rid of that, and bought and older, bigger Jaguar which then quite effectively took me to the brink of bankruptcy, and then when our landlords shop went up in a puff of smoke under our flat I came crashing back to earth with a bump. Needless to say, I now have a fairly dull, diesel, family saloon.

I've never really done the beard thing, although I do tend to 'forget' to shave for a few days sometimes (usually when work is driving me up the wall), and then I regret it the second I lift a razor again.
