Good god - I feel like a wimp now by comparison. Have you got decent pain relief?

How are you shaping up now Nick?

You have my every sympathy - for some reason pain in the head and face seems to be the worst kind. The only thing that is giving me peace from the abscess is codeine.

Sadly Jack, they are my starter for ten nowadays; I've got osteoarthritis, so pain can be quite a regular feature for me (especially if I let my diet slip a bit, or go and do something silly) - I usually start with the likes of co-codamol, then graduate to co-dydramol, tramadol or codeine; thankfully, this past couple of years, things seem to have settled out a bit, so I am not getting as many flare ups as I was getting.
