Thats a rat king!! It was found in Germany and was believed to be folklaw if i have understood correctly

Rat kings are formed when a number of rats become intertwined at their tails and get stuck together with blood, dirt, ice, excrement or simply knotted. The animals grow together forming one large beast. The earliest report of a rat king comes from 1564. Historically, the rat king was viewed as a bad omen, and probably with good reason. Rats carry a number of diseases, perhaps most notably plague, so it is understandable that people would associate bad luck with a large cluster of rats. Diseases tend to arise more readily when animals are confined close together, so the location of a rat king could be a breeding ground of disease.

I'm pretty sure there was meant to be pic with that Hydrogen?

Found a few good things, sold a victorian pendant to our Folly Mon. Found a few cannon shells, medieval tokens, lead toys, coins from 18 century onwards, musket balls, grape shot & lots of rubbish.

Hahah sorry guys it is horrid isnt it :snork: The reason i posted it, was because i was looking on the internet for the number 1 archilogical find in the UK that was on the show last night. It was a piece of flint that was found on a beach that had been shaped into a multitool, and was believed to be 700,000 years old!! It was not technically used by a human as was we had not fully evolved then and the UK was still a part of the rest of the world lol i cant find anything about it on the net though  Although i did find the "rat king" haha

I cant work why it would be considered an archilogical find, its just a load of dead rats! Also one website i looked at said they are just folklaw....

          I think its great:dbgrtmb:

I was just telling Hydro by pm, i've just seen a mumified cat on the telly valued at £2000.

I nearly fell out of my chair, I had a huge collection of Mummified animals found in old buildings, never knew they were worth so much, gave them to a kid down the road to play with:sad:

I had Rats, Squirrells even a Mole found 2 floors up??
