    I think this is SOW THISTLE, I appear to have two different ones though, some have smooth leaves, the others have spikey leaves

    That is IF they actually are sow thistles ?
    yellow dandelion/thistle like flower, about 70cm tall stems

    The un-spiky leaved job does look like the drawing of Common Sowthistle Sonchus oleraceus in my (extremely tatty) "Birds, Trees and Flowers" book.

    Not a clue about the spiky job though.

    The other one is Prickly Sow-thistle Sonchus Asper. My hens like the common one as greenstuff to eat.
