Has anyone missed me? :)

While you lot have no doubt been thoroughly enjoying the banter, and serious gardening discussion for the past week or so, you may have been enjoying yourselves far too much to realise that poor old CL1 was M.I.A.

Just over a week ago, my internet connection ceased to be. My router had died, or so it seemed seeing as at the time, my computer could still connect to other wireless networks, but not my main one. Nor could my phone. Much diagnostic effort both by me alone, and then also with the assistance of my broadband provider confirmed dead router.

Then, the laptop decided it too would give up its wifi capability in a misguided act of solidarity with the failed router. So when the new router arrived, it still wouldn't work.

Much messing about got the router to work with all my devices, except my newer laptop. After many hours of futile effort I was just about to introduce the laptop to the friendly sledgehammer, when I thought I'd give it one last hour of fiddling, and lo and behold, here I am. The laptop is safe. For now.

Yep, thanks for that The lad loves it. He didn't know what it was until he saw Dr Who on telly at my mam's. He nearly bust a blood vessel with excitement when the darleks came on, and the lad tried to tell his nana that the post man had brought him a picture of one of them

Was aswell. But just on a 'staycation'. Took a week off work and we used it to go on days out all over the place (and one overnight stay in sunny Sheffield).
