Apologies for more gratuitous pics - as Jenny said, I'm having a love affair with my roses :wub2:

Gertrude Jekyll seems to have settled into her new position. I was worried as there had been a rose there previously (although I did dig out the soil and replace). These are the first new blooms she's produced in a couple of months since I bought her, so she obviously likes it there.

Jude the Obscure is finally showing some blooms. None of them are looking at their best yet, but the smell alone was worth waiting for!

Sceptre'd Isle and Princess Alexandra of Kent - just because they look good together.

I especially like the Queen Elizabeth and Once in a Blue Moon WOO, both gorgeous :wub2:

                    A couple more ...

White 'indoor' mini rose sent to me by colleagues at work when I left (glad they got me a plant rather than flowers). As with others I've acquired, there are four plants in the same pot, so they will be separated out at some stage.

Have been taking more rose cuttings this morning - my kitchen windowsill is starting to look like a rose nursery :snork:

Forgot to say re Jude the Obscure - the strongest scent out of all of them, stronger even than Gertrude Jekyll.

That was my mother favourite of all...
My mother would have hundred of roses in the garden, especially narrow buds as this one, as opposed to flat.

Well I've taken lots of rose cuttings (probably take a few more yet) which are lined up on both windowsills in my kitchen. I do hope that at least half of them take. It's very exciting :dancy:

I first mentioned Gloire de Vivre on this thread back in July and she has had flowers all season long. A month ago, she produced another flush of buds which are opening now. A delightful little pot rose that has done herself proud. Friday piccies on 12 October 2012 003.JPG

Jenny - she looks lovely (but where do you get your sun from?)

Joolz - I'm no expert but from what I've read they can be kept in or out. Because this is my first time taking Rose cuttings I want to keep an eye on them, so I'm keeping mine on the windowsill until next Spring when I'll pot them on and harden them off before putting outside :)
