I did a job for a chap last week that I knew by his garden had Green Fingers, I asked him who the keen gardener was, as he said it was him, he then asked if I had any spare time to see his back garden .......... Wow.

He had about 4-5 greenhouses, 1 was around 21' long x 9' wide, and full of different Cacti, including one that is illegal in many states of America (the hallucinogenic one that the Native Americans used), another had different Orchids.

The real shame is, he don't like computers, but I did point him this way, and he said that he would get his wife to find us for him :)

I'm going to give him a call in a week or so, and mention that he has been spoken of, see if I can get him on.

He also had a tree native to New Zealand that was near extinct, and unfortunately due to the weather this year, his one is dying :(

Zig ...what about kids start to read this thread?
everyone will start to grow cactus

They are not illegal in UK , as normally sold in garden centers .

Webmaster , you should go back and make some pictures , plus maybe some of us can help him with the plants.

              They probably already are Sal:doh:

Perfectly legal to grow those cacti here in the UK however I believe eBay doesn't like you selling them so they just use an old synonym lophophora instead =)

                    Hi Aesculus,
Your plants seem to be doing very well. A greenhouse! mine is only small 6'x7' but I have had 300+ plants it there, most of my plants are Cacti and Succs, mostly in 2.5-3" pots (Square) Don't over pot. My Epi's and Aporo's are in hanging pots. I am in the process of lining it with bubble wrap to help keep the cold out. The last 2 bad winters cost me over a 100 plants lost.. THe bubble wrap was FREE otherwise I'd use the proper stuff. You seeds are doing well, I've not grown anything from seeds for years but did, and I still have some too. Perhaps you might like to take a look here for some pictures: http//:www.btinternet.com/~melvynsaunders

                    Good luck..
