They're arguing about where to put him to rest, as they are now certain it is him, Sheal. York is saying he should be placed there, Leicester is also taking him. As one of his titles was "Richard of York" I think he should go there. I don't see why he should be laid to rest at Westminster as he has no real connection there, and he was pushed into the shadows by his heirs.:coffee:

I can see your point Armandii, but by tradition most kings and queens have been interred (have I spelt that right) at the abbey.

As long as he's not buried in Leicester.....that's the last place he'd want to be.....

You spelt it right:heehee: Kings and Queens have been buried in Westminster Abbey since 1066 when it was a Monastery and Edward the Confessor was the first one to be buried there. But again, I think Richard was not the most popular of Monarchs and his successors and family didn't exactly fall over themselves to recover his body for state burial.:dunno: :snork:

Well, he's spent the last 500 years there so I guess he'll be bored out of his skull with the place.:snork:

Well, I don't think it really matters who wants him, the final decision will probably be made by our present queen and her officials.

I think 'one or two' is an understatement :heehee: . The 'Golden Mile' (Belgrave Road) is reputed to have the most Indian eateries in the country. I'm not sure about that (I regularly go to Brick Lane in Bangla Town) but it certainly has a lot. :dbgrtmb:

As he was found under a car park, he actually shouted

A Corsa a Corsa my Kingdom for a Corsa :)
