      haha cool... I condider myself a 90's kid (hence still using the word cool when no one else does anymore), but lots of these are really familiar... especially subbuteo! Used to love this game.. many other stuff too.. I still have a 1989 walkman actually which I use to listen to football matches!

      Do they still work? My mate had one something like this in his Roller (in the days when mobile phones were too big to carry around - I still remember the carrying handle and how flippin heavy the enormous battery was)

        Loved it! Though I'm more of a 60s 70s kid.

        Don't chuck out all that ancient stuff, it'll be a valuable antique soon. Imagine Antiques Roadshow in 2189.

        I heard someone use that word last night. Although he was a bit of a 90s kid, come to think about it.

        I had something similar fitted to my van many moons ago, and was chuffed to bits when I got one of these (or one very like it):

        The video was made by a posh kid I reckon, because it showed BMX's but ommitted ordinary cheap bikes modified as stunt bikes (which were of course the precursor to the BMX bike).

        To make a BMX before BMXs were even invented, you will need:
        * Any bike
        * A basic set of tools (a pair of pliars and maybe a screwdriver)

        Method:
        * Detach the chain guard (if fitted)
        * Detach the front and rear mud guards (if fitted)
        * Detach all superfluous reflectors, carrier racks, baskets/boxes etc
        * Detach the front brake (if still present)
        * Lower the seat by a couple of inches
        * Job done

        Test plan: You will need:
        * A discarded plank of wood or strong board of any material
        * A few bricks
        * Half a dozen spare kids
        * TIP: Check the back alleys, where all the required materials can be found.
        * Assemble bricks and board into a makeshift ramp
        * Install spare kids horizontally behind ramp
        * Allow a run-up distance equal to the gap between two lamp posts
        * Pedal bike at ramp as fast as possible

        Expected outcome:
        * Bike and rider will go airborne for sufficient distance to clear spare kids
        * Bike and rider will remain intact upon return to the ground
        * Bike facilitates a suitable escape in the event that one or more spare kid's mother's appear at front door with hostility directed at test rider for using their child for the test.

          Its like carrying around your own defibrillator, but given how popular phones are now, they are essentially a defibrillator
