No End in Sight For This Cold Snap!!

    It's not so much the cold that's been getting me down as the miserably grey flat light during the day. I can at least wrap up warm but trying to get reasonable photo's in the grey, dull, light is a pain.:gaah:

      Does "warm up" mean increase from -3degC to 0degC?

        Indeed, a remarkably long air fetch from the Arctic.. quite rare to see such a long meridional flow like that.. and of course it could be into Africa, but the charts don't go that far..

        edit yes they do, here it is... nothing less than incredible..

          :ideaIPB: What we need to do is all reach up to the sky grab hold of and move the Jet Stream from the South of the UK to the North of Scotland..........now that would give us the warm weather we all want so much.:snork:

              It was 4degC on the car thermometer when I went to Homebase this morning and saw their entire stock of tomato and cucumber plants (delivered several days ago) has died because they've put them on racking in the outside area and only covered them with thin fleece overnight (when it's been going down to -3degC).

              Will they never learn?
