I have been giving some thought to getting a small polytunnel. Probably about 2.5 m X 2m. I just wondered if you great people could give me some idea about what can and can't be achieved with one? Can they be made use of all year round?
Any advice or experience greatly appreciated! :)

Yes they can be used all year round, providing they are anchored well. Some polytunnels have an unfair nickname of "blowaways" so avoiding that pitfall is paramount.

Then, to see what you can do with them read some of the topics already posted in this polytunnel section AND in the greenhouse section too...this will be easier than listing here what can be done/grown or achieved.

If you still have questions though do come back with some specifics.

    Steve...:)

The smallness is worry me a bit. I think tunnels can be hard to get the temperature right/ventilate, and the smaller they are the move difficult that can become. I wonder if you might be better off with a glasshouse at that size? Second hand ones come on eBay / Freecycle etc. now and again, often for next to nothing, although you'd need enough DIY skills to take ti down and then put it back up again, having made some footings.
