In this life, if we are lucky, we are blessed with good health, the opportunity to work and earn to allow us to pay our way, but if we are really lucky.... well, if we are really lucky we are blessed with friends, be they online, penpals or face-to-face.

When you have had 'one of those days' nothing beats the lift that you get and find a wee parcel, containing a gift from a friend :dancy: - @Jenny namaste knows who I am talking about:

You are a little darlin' FC. I am fortunate enough to be blessed with just about all of those good things you mentioned and nothing gives me greater pleasure than to bring a bit of cheer to the hearts and souls of those close to me,

It is a phygelius capensis cutting, but not any ordinary phygelius capensis cutting :nonofinger: - it has been raised by Jenny's fair hand, and is going to be given pride of place in my garden next year (with photo updates to chart its progress of course); in the meantime, it is nestling in the porch which gets a decent chunk of light, but is neither too warm nor too cold - when the really cold weather arrives, it will be transferred onto one of the staircase windowsills.

Thank you Jenny :wub2: - it put a right wee smile on my face this evening (and gave me an excuse to delve my paws into some compost)

[IMG] it was from this stem that I managed to cut into 4. It was from my Aunt Rosie's garden and was ID'd here on GC for me. Looks a bit unusual but can survive a Winter if it has free draining soil and a bit of shelter ( I hope),
