Not me. Mine goes more like this:

      Me: Need sleep

Mind: No, we're going to think about everything, past, present and future, everything that was, is, will be, wasn't, isn't and wont be, might be, might not be, might have been, wont have been, could have been and could be.

Me: Bored of that now. I said sleep.

No...the only thing keeps me awake at nights is French bureaucracy:gaah: Failsafe method for combatting it is to start spending a multi-million € Loto win. I never get past the first 500.000:biggrin:

There must be something about human brain chemistry that says if you are awake at 3 am danger must be lurking somewhere, even if it's in our own heads. Probably stems from chilly nights in the cave listening out for cave bears. Or, there's a shortfall of some hormone or other at night making negative and fearful thoughts more prevalent.

A nice cup of hot marmite and a read of Georgette Heyer usually sends me off again.

:) Sleep is such a waste of time.
Wouldn't it be good if we just took a pill that did the job of sleep, all that extra time to fill our lives with useful stuff.
Mind you it's difficult to garden in the dark lol

I normally sleep about two hours a night - and not at all in the daytime.
