Because they put them up by £100 p.a. and then 'reduce' them by £50 p.a.?

If the energy companies' proportion of fuel bill increases have been greater than increases in 'green taxes' previously included in fuel bills, or fuel bills will now rise at an even faster rate.

They'll never let that get into the p.a. mode I'm afraid!!!

One thing that people don't recognise/realise is that when there in a increase in their energy bills there is included in that a proportional increase of the Green Taxes that are parasitically attached to the bills.:dunno::snork:

Oh, they're taking some of the Green tax off your bill, JWK, what I'm saying that with all the increases that are still going ahead you won't really see much difference in what you are, and will be, paying!!:dunno::snork:

They are, sort of, but the government are taking the 'green' levies away from the bills and getting the money from general taxation instead. In other words, you will still pay but in a different way. Notwithstanding of course that the cost of energy has rocketed over the past few years anyway, and all the government has really done is to take the heat off the energy companies.
