    25p!! Swoon.

I think if it's been in the fridge and still sealed it will be fine for months longer than the use-by date. Just sniff & taste.

Cheese-making was originally developed as a means of preserving perishable milk, I don't think they'd have bothered if it didn't work well. The stuff is laden with salt, so not sure how any bugs could get started in it.

But if you are chucking it out on 12th february I'll be happy to take it off your hands!

Packs of cheese are vulnerable to having the packaging damaged which enables them to go off much sooner and as opaque packs are not ideal for keeping an eye on it, they will go into a freezer (have loads of freezer space).

This last week Nouvelle issued another 20,000 printable vouchers for free bog rolls and we had to go on a road trip clearing out all the local supermarkets. There's now a constant danger of avalanche in the spare bedroom!

The current object of our attentions is Jus-Roll pastry which after vouchers and claiming online gift card rewards means we get paid 50p for every pack we buy. Mmmmmm cheese straws made with Anchor cheese, home made apple pies, etc. As it's the chilled rather than frozen stuff we need to get that Anchor cheese frozen quickly to free up fridge space.

Scrungee - is this all just for you or are you doing it for the whole street? It does strike me as being a tad OTT,

I'm just cutting down my own shopping bills, not anybody else's. If you think it OTT then carry on paying full price for all your shopping. We're more than happy to make substantial savings on all of ours.

I thought you were interested in moneysaving, such as when you posted about wanting cheap dishwasher tabs

I find them very informative thanks Scrungee, used my saving stamps in Morrisons Saturday, I wanted some salmon and the offer finished Sunday, a little disappointed the salmon were not larger, 12 pounds something, cut into 12 portions. Got a lovely piece of beef, cut that into 4, ditto pork,
My nearest supermarket is Aldi, less than a mile I have 2, 5 pounds off 40 pound spend vouchers to spend so will be getting in there this week and last minute bits and bobs next week, I can always top up with chicken thighs for the dog.

I'm careful with my housekeeping money Scrungee but I wouldn't fill a spare bedroom ( even if I had one ) with Loo rolls,

My spare bedroom is storing my mince pies, stollen, tins of chocs, dundee cakes and yes a few packs of loo rolls, and assorted bottles "busted"

Does Aldi do money-off vouchers?? :dancy:I have two convenient branches but am waiting for the day when Lidl build a (long overdue) branch in my local area.

Any extra chicken thighs will be for me, not the mutt!

They are usually in the Mirror, last Thursday of the month, but, they were in last week and valid until 24th, so I bought 2 papers.
I understand from "Martin lewis" site, thread , good and bad buys "Aldi & Lidl" there may be one in Thursdays Sun.
I give Maddie a chicken thigh a day with her main meal, Aldi trays of 5 or more, depends on size, 1-99, I prefer to feed her fresh meat as I have long held the belief that all the mad cows go into commercial dog meat.

It helps cut down heating bills by reducing the residual air volume. If I'd got any more I was going to top up the roof insulation with a layer of them.

Or we could have this version instead of Scrungee ££ saving ideas.

I also hope to pick up some money saving tips from it.

P.S. Tiny Tim was done paying full price for that bird, it should of had at least 75% off.
