    @Ellen
    Make sure the taps are open fully, make sure every thing is clean from the tank through to the oil controler all filters/gauges/ pipes, make sure there is no damage to the fuel pipe tank to cooker, make sure the tank out let is higher then the in let to the cooker
    make sure the cooker burner is clean (the black carbon) make sure it's clean were the pipe enters the cooker burner around the hole were the fuel comes in
    and make sure the inside of the cooker in clean from soot from the cooker burner and up the fule/chimily
    hope this help you as well

      Thanks Jiffy :)

      There's no way to check from the tank to the control box as all the pipes are hidden, and there's a fair bit of distance as the pipe goes though 3 rooms before it gets to the kitchen! The amount of times I'd like a small oil tank just outside the kitchen...

      I've been looking online for the manual, I've found one from Rayburn's site, then there's an option to pay £38 for the manual... I'm not very technical/mechanical/anything related to those so I don't want to touch it without instructions :lol: it would save £££ on servicing costs though, with it needing servicing twice a year...

                    Mine doesn't do the radiators but it does help with heating water. In summer it heats water enough for showers etc, but in winter not so much ;)

                      Ahh, I only asked as my burner needs to get the water in the jacket around it up to temperature before it gets pumped round the system. Too soon and it goes cold again.

                        I learnt the hard way, had the experts to service it for years then things start to be done quicker to gain more money and it wouldn't run as it should so i got stuck in and done it myself, but with all AGA's and Rayburn cookers they have there own way of working, two cooker's the same, but I know all about my Rayburn :dbgrtmb:

                        Ah I see :) mine's been like this now since yesterday morning, at least it's not out, but must remember to put it out tonight as otherwise nothing will be able to be done with it tomorrow!

                        That's one reason I don't get an official Aga service guy... The guy who does ours is a retired oil boiler service guy who services most of the village I think! But certainly some things I'd like to do myself, with only the really sticky things left for him ;)

                          Mine wasn't as well, just the local oil boiler man, but they just wanted to in and out as quick as pos so i learnt my self, you can all so ring up AGA/rayburn and speak to an enginer and they can talk you through things :dbgrtmb: (well they did for me)
