No picture updates, but I have been over again today for only about 30-40 minutes, I mainly dropped in so that I could get my poly tunnel out of the back of my van, and stored in the shed on the allotment.

Whilst I was there though, I did clear an area of around 8'x8' of nettle roots, as I have said already, the soil is so good, that coupled with the wet weather we've had, roots are pulling straight out without 'too much' effort, obviously, there are a few roots that will require a little digging, but I am concentrating on clearing the area first and I will come back the the larger roots later.

I think on my next visit, I'll take my mastic gun and some Soudal Fix All (http://www.soudal.com/soudalweb/productDetail.aspx?w=9&p=282&ID=1905) and apply a little down each side of the windows on the shed, as they can be just popped out at the moment, and the wind had also blown them in a little in the last few days.

At some point, I also need to get some guttering/downpipe and a water butt, so that I can harvest some rain water :)

Is there mains water on the site? (I have to either collect mine from shed roofs or cart it there in summer).

I like to have a small barrel inside polytunnels so there water's that bit warmer early in the season when I've loads of stuff coming on under cover and there's frosty weather outside and occasionally even ice on outdoor butts.

P.S. Thought my luck was in when I saw a water tank in a skip last week, but the plumbers had jigsawed it in half, presumably to make it easier to remove.

I'm sure I will find one somewhere that won't cost me anything ;)

          Slowly but surely.

There is mains water supply to the site (costs me £7 per year), but at this time of year, they shut of the extended water supplies to the whole site, and the main supply is at the entrance (a long walk), but they have water storage tanks at each water supply, which are always full.

Good tip about having water storage within the greenhouse ;)

Looks great already , being so wet can help at times by the look of it ,

I would go spud crazy , but you may have lots of wire worms with it being left fallow for a while but it does help clear all the weeds seeds .

Look forward to seeing it progress :dbgrtmb:

Almost sorted, going to get a little camping gas burner ( something like this :- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PORTABLE-...990?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1e5f944756 ) to leave in there with an old saucepan so I can heat some food or water to make a hot drink.

Plan is to have some nice fresh veg this year ;)

A lovely walkabout (12/1/14) Nate thank you. I think I saw another human being ? It's a lovely site - looks nice and open with good light and pretty level too. Oooh, lots of fun this coming year - saw you have a chair in the shed thank goodness.
I love your vid. updates Nate - makes me think I'm there with you- love all that peace and solace - away from it all,
                        Jenny
