Two near misses for an Italian farmer this month as two huge boulders were dislodged !
The second one was within a hairs breadth of the house . Just imagine opening your bedroom window in the morning and seeing that monster bounding down the mountain at you :hate-shocked:

Well stone me, I bet nobody thought this would happen.

They say a rolling stone gathers no moss.

It would be nice to live a stone's throw from the Italian mountains.

I wonder if the farmer is into rock and roll.

I bet the farmer was a bit stony faced when he saw what had happened.

            Any more?

Still, it could be a load of old boulder dash.

If you look at the photos there are lots of other boulders strewn across the fields . It seems like they live in a bomb alley. Also the boulders are very evenly shaped , like something of the Flintstones . Do rocks that shape fall off mountains ? Where are our GC geologists when we need them ! If I lived there I would be digging a bloomin' big ditch behind my property ! How do they sleep at night ?

I think he put it there just to get in the paper. Bill Haley sort of bloke anything for a rock.

Looking at the second picture, at least it missed his car.
Although it looks as if it's trapped against the wall now.
Sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Looks like Dolomitic Limestone. At least they can break it up, kiln it and sell it for making mortar :phew:
