Yes, we've been opening our garden for charity for about 10 years. GC members have been coming for quite a number of those years and the numbers keep expanding each year. They're coming hundreds of miles just to meet up, have some fun, a gossip and to swap plants.

Over the weekend we get about 400 people through the garden - the lawn is virtually worn out around the plant sales tables!

You'll have to put it in your diary. It's the weekend of the finish of Chelsea Flower Show - which is almost always the Bank Holiday. Last year it wasn't Bank Holiday as Queenie swapped the dates around.

It's a fairly easy drive from Manchester. Just under 200 miles on good roads and I can do it in a little over 3 hours - as long as I have the wings out.

 

Steve, the only one that is anywhere near you is sal. I'm hoping he will come this year, but not sure. He's slightly off route - over by the A428

For those of you that are coming down Friday and delivering plants - or making sandwiches - I'll put a road cone outside our place to remind you where we are

Giving GC members first option

We shall be selling a large variegated oleander for £12. It needs repotting and is, of course, tender. So it will need shelter in the winter - we keep it in an unheated greenhouse.

Does anyone want me to put it aside for them?
