I have just bought a pesticide spray by Westland (Resolva bug killer).
Can I just spray this on 'any' green leafy plant?
The following plants seem to be getting nibbled quite badly :
Rose bush, asiatic lillies (seem to have stopped growing), hydrangea mac, Phlox.
Also, does it matter if the flower gets sprayed?
    Cheers :)

wait till late evening when the sun is going down otherwise the droplets with the glorious weather we are having may cause the leaves to burn/scorch , you will end up with brown spots on the leaves , plus most of the insects have gone to bed for the night ie honey bes and the like

What about the flower heads? My hydrangea seems to die in the evening , but when I wake up it has regenerated and is back in bloom :ouch1:

If your hydrangeas are drooping by evening then it's usually a sign that they're in need of water. Give them, and other plants, a good watering at the root.

I water all of my plants every evening, except my begonia basket because they kept dying off and going black. They have finally recovered now :) and are beginning to flower :)
The soil is a dry as a....... Bone! So many choices, but I chose bone ;)

With some plants you need to water quite heavily but less frequently. It depends on the soil conditions, whether they're in pots, whether they're in a lot of sunshine etc. etc. :)
