That's a pound coin in the background. It has a thuggish looking spine on its rear end.............

I put it under a leaf in the rockery area.

She's too old and useless to even catch that!!!

The markings that look like eyes are the head end.
Spike....tail end.

 

where did you find, it , as thats the best place to put it back as it might not like the rockery leaves
