My James Grieve apples, had a an unusual amount of apples falling off the tree this year.due to the hot weather and and lack of water.

Your image is not 'uploading' to GC and isn't displaying correctly because you are using the wrong photobucket link

I've posted this one or two times before, but the IMG link on PB doesn't work as it did and you now need to use the 'Direct' link between IMG tags to get PB hosted images to display properly @Marley Farley I mentioned this to you some while ago, perhaps this could be added to 'sticky' info re posting pics?

My apples are falling off the trees 3 weeks earlier than usual this year, it appears to be everything is ripening earlier this year.

Re Apples. Don't they call that June Drop? Natures way of thinning the crop especially early apples like James Grieve, I used to grow them in Cambridge, lovely apple picked and eaten of the tree they don't keep well.

Good evening Rosietutu Yes it is called June drop but it happens in August:heehee: as for not keeping well that's not a problem as they will not be on the tree long, its apple and rhubarb pie for them

Its a mid-season apple, ready to cook September, leave it until October and its ready to eat from the tree ,leaving it that extra month gives the acid time to go,and they do keep for a month or two;)
