Here's a thought. Those with the intellect to actually think and ask questions and not take Salmond's words as gospel will be voting No. Only those with no common sense will be voting yes. That means that if those with common sense lose, likely many will leave, leaving Scotland to be a sparsely populated northern European nation of mostly people with insufficient common sense to make the place a success.

Yes, Salmond has a lot to answer for. Not only is he a complete nutter, but whatever the outcome of tomorrow's vote, he's created a lot of tension that is going to last a long time. There will be lasting tension between yes and no supporters in Scotland, and probably some bitterness between Scotland and everyone else too. I hate to say it, but it wouldn't surprise me if Scotland sees similar political instability, albeit likely on a smaller scale, to what Northern Ireland has suffered. I suspect this might be the case regardless of which side wins because no matter who wins, about half the population of Scotland is going to lose.

If it's a yes vote, i'm taking my pension out of Scotland as I don't relish a retirement paid in lumps of Granite.

And we will be taking all our savings out of a certain bank registered in Scotland, as simply moving their head office/brass plate to remainder of UK without shifting their offices, staff, together will all associated tax payments does not warrant remainder of UK underwriting them IMO.

I remain deeply concerned about the outcome, and if I am being honest I am also quite p'eed off about it too - - there are students that have probably only been living in Scotland for a matter of months who will get a vote, yet I as a born and bred Scottish national with a parent still living in Scotland get no opportunity to make my feelings known. Its just plain wrong.

@clueless1 - fantastic post :goodpost: I could not have put it better myself.

This referendum has caused a massive rift already in Scotland, and that is before a single vote has been cast. I would even go as far as to say that Salmond has been just as damaging and divisive to Scotland (if not more so) than Maggie Thatcher.

One thing is for sure - either way, his place in history is assured.... as the rancid wee nyaff that scunnert Scotland.

Sadly not - because we live in England, we are not entitled to a vote in the referendum. A spotty wee yoof that hasn't paid a bean in tax in Scotland can have his say though, as can any immigrants who have moved into Scotland as little as around four months ago!

I've had several votes on it already, and that's only because i've got ginger hair.

                    Scotland can have the pound.

But they can't have the British Pound, how thick is Salmond on that one?

We can't have a currency union with an independant Country.
