    Tonight sees my first tentative steps back to fitness.

    I haven't done much (anything) since departing the Navy and frankly I'm in poor shape. That was over a decade ago so I'm not expecting to exactly enjoy the session! When I had the PTI's punishing me 3 times a day I was fit as a robbers dog but I've been lazy and trading on past glory for long enough - I'm soft and squidgy and I don't like it so this is the first step.

    It's a BMF session which I thought would be best for me but I'll find out at 7pm.

    Tell the wife... well she knows [sniff].

          How's your weight? I've had great success this year with Lean Gains (calorie intake restricted to 1pm to 9pm, none outside that window). Can eat all I like during the eating window (indeed, I still have three meals a day as I have "breakfast" at tea time, otherwise I feel hungry outside the eating window).

          Dunno if it would suit other people, but contrary to my expectations I don't feel hungry in the morning, nor lack "focus" etc. Weight didn't exactly fall off, although weight loss was steady, and I am now at the top end of my BMI so no longer over weight, and maintenance is a doddle - I've got into the habit of not eating breakfast, so I only eat it when someone is making a massive tasty fry-up :) but I have slipped back to snacking outside the core hours, which I can cut back on if my weight starts to go up; thus none of the issues of yo-yo dieting AFAIAC

                Well by the standards of the populace, which if media is to believed (it's not) then the world is a big bunch of big fat fatties, I'm actually very trim. Doc check up about 6 months ago said BMI is perfect, diet fine etc so really it's just me being annoyed at getting soft and flabby where it used to be muscle and glorious lol

                40 is approaching at the end of next year and I want to be well underway by then.

                Unfortunately and as expected, as the day progresses, I'm aching more lol

                So. Fry up anyone? :)
