            I live at the top of a hill, Jiffy, with 350-400 feet of pure sand under my House and what was an old Roman Sand Quarry 50 feet away so we rarely have flooding around here.......but's it's a great reminder for those who are more vulnerable.:thumbsup::snork:

                Whilest we'm on drainage, did you know you can get a reduction on your water bill if you can prove that none of your surface water goes into the drainage system?

                Tried this at a previous place but had to give up when the water started coming into the attic :doh:

                      Got an idea :ideaIPB:

                      Dig yourself a girt pit with a sluice gate on the front, let it fill up and let it all go at once, thereby scouring all the lower drainage ditches out and removing most of the neighbour's topsoil :snork:

                      They do that at West Bay to scour the harbour out :thumbsup:
