I didn't realise the National Park authorities were managing the land that long ago.

They'd only issue permits for Reticulated Willow on the permafrost, and only then if you could prove it was a benefit to the Reindeer and Bison.

Incidentally, the oldest road in the country started off as a Reindeer migration track that we made use of :)"snow plough"

I thought everyone knew that Maggot Thatchliar was looking for an excuse to close the mines so she asked the scientists to come up with an answer and they came up with Global Warming due to the burning of fossil fuels, and the rest is history:snork:

          The Ridgeway.

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ridgeway

Wiki doesn't mention the Reindeers, but i've heard (excuse pun) other historians say we probably followed migration routes. Makes sense, as that was the food we were following.

That and the fact that if any government were to tell us the truth that would be the end of it.

            Global warming was a distraction.

The Arctic and Pacific oceans are cooling. The predicted rise in sea level has halted and is going into reverse as the oceans shrink with the cooling.

It would make it even harder for the bog roll supply ship to reach you in winter.

It's funny you should say that Clueless, supplies were low here last week after sailings being cancelled due to weather conditions.

It'd be quicker to walk Jenny. The buses here run on a rural timetable.....very rural at times! :)
