I saw about the same, much faster than the Persioids, that comet must have been going some when it broke up :phew:

    Here's a real one :)

We popped out last night around 9.55pm and saw around eight in the space of fifteen minutes, but had to come in in the end as we were getting a tad cold and there was quiet a heavy frost on the lawn which looked good by torchlight but we were getting cheesed off with someone's security light that kept going on and off:gaah:

Three weeks ago whilst we were out walking round a dark part of the village I saw a really good one streak across the sky but by the time I had told Mr K it had faded out.Was worth seeing though:snork:

@shiney if you stand in your garden with the saucepan(plough) slightly over your left shoulder in the sky which Mr Kandy says is about North East you should be lucky enough to see some, but will have to keep rotating your body with your feet in one place and then you can scan the skies:biggrin:

Having a very starry night will help rather than cloud as that will obscure the view of them.We went out just before ten but not sure if where you live will make any difference:scratch:

@Kandy if I rotate my body whilst standing in one place I'll end up screwing myself into the ground! :hate-shocked:

Unfortunately not, "M", I spent an hour to two trying to see any shooting stars but the clouds seemed to get thicker and thicker over time with a mug of hot tea to keep me company:coffee: but there was too much cloud cover in the end.:dunno::gaah:

Oh! That is such a pity.

I made a wish (or seven: one for each I saw :heehee: ) and, even though it is bad luck to speak of my wish(es) suffice to say, special people on a certain website were given consideration :)

Gosh how I love the Dogs Trust forums ;) :roflol:
