              It's less than a ten minute slow drive away and is the oldest Royal hunting forest in Britain. Some of the trees are 1,200 years old! Fortunately it is an exceptionally well managed forest.

                  No, it's Hatfield Forest :blue thumb: (For those who don't know - it's nowhere near Hatfield :)). Hatfield Forest is now National Trust when it was gifted to them in 1924.

                  Sheal, Epping forest is also a very nice forest to visit. It's owned and managed by the Corporation of London.
