2014 Tomato Growing

    Me too Freddy.

    I'm snipping off affected bits every day. I'm also leaving all vents/doors open all the time, even over-night even though it's very cold. I think it's better to slow down Botrytis spreading by ventilating rather than keep the temperature up. It's a losing battle, if I can get them to the end of the month without the fruit being infected I'll be happy.

      In an attempt to get my toms to ripen, I've been keeping the G/H closed all the time. I always knew there was this risk. Ah well...

        That's a shame JWK and Freddy,you can almost 'smell' Botryis at this time of the year can't you:rolleyespink:...

        You've done well to get a crop @Freddy with having to start later:blue thumb:...

        All my plants have finished now but still enough toms around for a few more tomato sandwiches yet:dbgrtmb:

            Cleaned everything out of greenhouse at weekend as I was also getting botrytis. Will disinfect this weekend as all plants just about given exhausted anyway. Founds dug for new green house arriving Monday

              Yep, my greenhouse also all cleared out now and given a good wash down. Amazing how much extra light there is without the algae lol
