Iris id please

    The leaves of this Iris grow to approx. 2ft tall, they are strap like and quite narrow compared to most Iris, also dark green in colour. The flowers appear late spring and are approx. 3 to 4 inches across.

      I think a Siberian Iris and it may be called Sparkling Rose, does that ring a bell @Sheal

      I've just had a look Spruce and I don't think it's that. The leaves are a very dark green, I'll take a picture tomorrow. The petals are thicker and maintain their curled edges.

        Not a bad match but saying that growing conditions can and do change the colour , I have the same thing happen with daylilys , knowing 100% they are correctly named

          I forgot to take the pictures today. :doh:I had a feeling the colours may change but the pink and purple I have are mixed together in the same part of the bed. They've only been in the bed two years and flowered for the first time 2014, I'll see what they do this year. :)

            The straps are a much darker green than they show here.
