I have a few roses dotted around, and have to confess that I have pretty much left them to get on with it all by themselves. Having a potter in the garden the other day, I took these photos of mine, and am wondering what I should do in terms of pruning etc?

This one is a climbing rose, but I haven't tied it in to the fence yet

What, if anything should I be doing with these please?

Good afternoon F/C don't do anything to day as its your birthday:heehee: It would be useful to know what type they are ,climbing ,Standard, shrub ect If it were me I would prune them all down to by two thirds remove all the diseased leaves and dead canes which are left, please make sure that where you prune them you do so with an outward facing bud;)

      Thanks Woo :)

As far as I recall, they are all standard roses with the exception of the one climber. Is now the right time to be pruning them?

Hi F/C I can't see them close enough to tell but with greatest respect I would say that they are not all standards, but if they are this is what they should look like:smile:

Ah, in that case, none of them are standards (my reference was to bog-standard ), there is only one climber as far as I know and the rest are just normal roses
