We put them into the run about 5ish as we had to go out. We got back after dark and went to go put them to bed and they were all happily in the coop cuddled up. Two were on the perches and two on the floor but it's still encouraging :)

We're finishing off the Fox/dog proofing today. Ian was hammering and we started hearing a noise like someone mimicking him.
Realised then that the chickens were pecking their coop like they were copying him!

Day two done. They've seemed more comfortable today but still aren't venturing very far from the coop. They've worked out the can get in and out if it now, and are happily eating/drinking from the feeders as well as off the ground. Bought some sand and live mealworms but the only one who seems keen on them at the minute is the cat!

Speaking of which, our youngest cat who is usually a housecat came out to inspect the new arrivals today. She automatically got shouted and squawked at! They're not fussed by the other two cats and have happily been side by side with them but for some reason Marcy has really ruffled their feathers!

                    Was funny to watch though...

Good morning! The girls have been treated to a good clean out of their coop and some additional security/entertainment measures this morning.
                      IMAG0188.jpg
They've also got wormer in their water so all that's left to do is get them mite powdered once they're a bit happier being handled.

Turns out they love digging around in sand for mealworms, although they seem to be a bit too enthusiastic this morning.
                      IMAG0187.jpg

It's so nice seeing their natural behaviours develop. There completely different from the nervous and exhausted girls we brought home a few days ago.

It's funny watching our cats with them. Two of our cats have just accepted them and they in turn have been accepted as part of the flock, but our youngest cat who is primarily a house cat is still trying to work out what the hell they are. She's often shouted at for her trouble too, but this morning she seems to have been allowed into the run and has only been chased off once, so we're making progress! :)

They are looking 100% better already,
and it's amazing how readily they have adjusted to the cats ,

They are getting so cheeky! McDuck has started legging it whenever she realises it's time to go back in the coop! Also they've been repeatedly kicking their water over today. Funnily enough it's had wormer in it...
